We study the function and evolution of genes, genomes, and gametogenesis, using molecular biology techniques, genetic analysis, and bioinformatics.

The Meiklejohn lab is currently recruiting motivated individuals to work on existing research projects and bring new systems and ideas to the lab.

Postdoctoral positions are available through the UNVEIL network, a collaboration between University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the University of Montana; and through the UNL Population Biology Program of Excellence

Graduate student positions are available, with funding through the UNVEIL network and through graduate TAs. Interested graduate students should apply through UNL's EEB graduate program; the deadline for applications is December 1.
